Manor House Farm is a 170 acre farm lying in the confluence of the Dove and Churnet valleys. Chris and Margaret provide you with a fantastic welcome and invite you to stay in their Grade II listed Jacobean farmhouse. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is furnished in the period of the Farm House throughout and is extremely luxurious, incredibly cared for and treasured. Their rambling country farmhouse built mainly between 1580 and 1708 offers a glimpse into days gone by with its oak panelled dining room and antique furniture. An incredibility romantic setting with four poster beds, beautiful surrounding, peace and quiet and there is even a small tea room, where passing walkers take a well deserved break. There is a fascinating small museum put together lovingly by the owners, this really is a very unique and luxurious place to visit and stay. The grounds and gardens are truly beautiful, extensive and so many nooks and crannies to either just stroll around and admire the beautiful gardens and countryside views or relax in one of the many seating areas and hidden away gazebos and period seating settings. An inspiration for painters, artists and historians. There is even a lawned tennis court ideal for a fun game but do beware of the occasional interesting bounce.
