Wild Flower Meadow and Farm Open Day.All welcome Sunday 14th July BBQ with home reared beef.
This year is the third year of our Forest of Flowers where we have planted 5400 young trees and undersown them with wild flowers. It has been a wonderful sight and will develop into a community woodland with access to all. There will be large wooded areas with areas left over entirely to the flowers.Although it has been a very cold and late spring things are now growing and we are looking forward to the first of the flowers coming into flower. We have an open day on the Sunday 14th of july to which you are all very welcome. There will be a barbeque followed by a walk around the meadow and a look at our Rare Breed Cattle. The barbeque will start at 1 pm.Last year saw us on Countryfile. We have been very involved with Rare Breeds for the last 15 years and were very pleased to be able to promote the Irish Moiled breed in this way.The photo of the pigs shows Penelope the pig that we hand reared with her first litter. She was a wonderful mother and an absolute dream to work with. Also during the recent snow we took this picture of the dogs trying to decide where to noise was coming from.
