Manor House Farm and Keepers Cottage, is surrounded by the charming countryside and close to the Staffordshire Moorlands and near to the excellent climbing attractions of The Roaches whilst also offering access to the beauty of the Derbyshire Peak District. It is an ideal base to discover the stunning landscapes and sites of the Peak District National Park.
There is always something to do or see thoughout the year, whether it be outdoor activities; beautiful historic buildings to visit; taking part in local summer carnivals or just general site seeing or visiting local attractions such as Alton Towers or the Churnet Valley Railway

From Kingsley and Froghall via Consall, and Chedlington to Leekbrook, the railway offers a delightful 10 1/2 mile journey. Visit the main centre and view the locomotives and learn al about the age of steam in their museum

Staffordshire Moorlands

The Staffordshire Moorlands contains and large proportion of the 'white peak' area of the Peak District
It includes one half of Dovedale, the Manifold Valley including Thor's Cave, Wetton Mill, Longnor and Butterton.
The Staffordshire Moorlands is also home to the highest village in Britain, Flash as well as being an area of forests, lakes, crags and
extensive moorland. A fabulous place to visit, walk and explore.

The Roaches, with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks, form a gritstone escarpment on the south-western edge of the Peak District. THe leek road offers best viewing of the cliff faces as they stand as a long linear barrier or gateway to the Peak District, their fantastic shapes worn by the elements.

Our Facilities
We now offer cycle hire. Cycle the Churnet Valley trail and discover the hidden charm of this picturesque landscape, a setting rich in history and natural beauty. It is advisable to pre-book cycle hire.
Next to a Victorian summer house we have facilities for tennis, croquet and barbeques.
Nearby Attractions
Manor House Farm is an ideal centre for exploring the tranquil valleys of the Dove, Churnet and Manifold, or visiting Alton Towers (2 miles away), Sudbury Hall (6 miles), Shugborough Hall, Haddon Hall, Chatsworth and the Pottery shops and museums of Stoke-on-Trent. Close by are the historic market towns of Ashbourne and Uttoxeter. The farm also a good base for golf, swimming, cycling and pony trekking.
